Sire Paltarra Dennison
Dam Elkincroft Bonita
Rosita is a rare black suri with a lustrous black suri fleece. She is well grown with good conformation and bone. She would be well suited to anyone starting out or wanting to increase their black suri herd.
11th February 2014 Rosita gave birth to a lovely little black female cria, sired by Zambezi. A promising result.
Sire: Paltarra Dennison is son of Talca Black Onyx from Australia, rare genetics in NZ. Dennison has all suri offspring registered.
Dam: Elkincroft Bonita is a dark brown suri female with black in her pedigree. Her fleece remains soft, fine and uniform. Rosita is Bonita's first cria. Bonita's dam, Inki, has successfully produced and raised many cria at the Elkincroft farm.
The Elkincroft herd was bred by Leo and Hazel Knight in Waipukurau until their retirement in 2012. Starting with 2 female alpaca, they set about breeding black suri, using outside stud services for their females. Over the years they have built up a nucleus of black and brown suri. This herd would make a great start for some beginning their journey into black suri or to increase an existing herd.
