About SuricoWho we areSurico Alpaca is dedicated to breeding quality suri alpaca and developing the suri industry. It is a family run business involving Brooke and Sue Richards, in partnership with daughter, Hermione. We were first involved with alpacas in 1998 purely as a hobby. Since then we have developed it into a successful business. At Surico Alpaca we have approx 100 suri which we run on a 33 acre block between Tauranga and Rotorua, in the North Island of New Zealand. Why we're hereOur focus is high quality suri with the aim to continue improving the breed for lustre, fineness, uniformity of micron and weight of the fleece, while maintaining excellent conformation. To achieve this we have imported the best genetics from Peru and Australia. We now have world class suri exporting to UK, Europe and Asia.
