Orion is hearty young male, ready and eager to work. He has excellent parentage with reliable genetics. Both parents have had a major influence on the Surico herd. Breeding
Sire: Surilana Parsifal is our most renowned and prolific Accoyo males, he was imported to New Zealand from Peru in 2000 from Don Julio Berreda's Accoyo herd, bringing with him all the associated attributes. His progeny have been awarded over 30 Supreme Championship and 100 Championship awards. Most noteable are Surico Yulia 2005 AANZ National Supreme suri and Surico Onedin 2010 AANZ National Supreme Suri. Progeny from Parsifal exhibit excellent consistency in all aspects.
Dam: Somerset Peruvian Silken Star, our most prolific breeder of top quality progeny. Star is a true Star, she has produced many progeny for us, her last a female at almost 20 years old, she has now gracefully retired. Many of her progeny and offspring's progeny have been recognised in the show ring with broad ribbons. She consistently raised her cria with health and vitality. We can boast several generations of quality in our herd.
