Coppelia is a shinning example of a suri female with superb suri characteristics, she has fleece with exceptional handle, reflecting the very important suri traits. She is a well bred female with 3 Accoyo males in her pedigree.
Progeny
2015 Surico Arabesque Her first cria, a female, Surico Arabesque, is exhibiting a very fine, light fawn fleece. Arabesque's sire is Surico Alinghi and this combination of our distinctive genetics is looking very promising.
2016 Surico Pirouette. Sired by Surico Tangier who is stamping his mark on his progeny, Pirouette is exhibiting excellent density and lovely handle, indicating a good fleece development.
Breeding
Sire: Surilana Parsifal. Imported from Peru in 2000 from Don Julio Berreda's Accoyo herd Parsifal is one of our 'Supreme Sires'. He consistently breeds true to type suri progeny that exhibit excellent fleece traits in lustre, handle, independence and architecture of lock, and coverage. Parsifal has sired numerous show champions and supremes.
Dam: Surico Ballerina is a magnificient female with a fleece covering a large area of her frame that has remained lustrous, fine and dense, just the sort of female we desire in our breeding programme. Her contribution to breeding plans at Surico has been immense.
